Job Description
BROAD SCOPE
- An Assistant Billing Manager oversees billing activities, policies, and staff to ensure accurate and timely customer invoicing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reconcile billing accounts to the general ledger.
- Interact with AR, credit/collections, and client purchasing departments.
- Ensure accuracy in company and customer invoicing.
- Prepare statements and oversee bill preparation.
- Manage client records related to invoicing.
- Review billing staff work for accuracy.
- Provide invoicing priority list and assist in client location.
- Distribute invoicing reports and advise on collections practices.
- Offer customer support for invoice-related queries.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION:
- BS/MA degree in Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
EXPERIENCE:
- 5-8 years as an Assistant Billing Manager or similar role.
- Logistics Company experience preferred.
SKILLS
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office or similar software.
- Basic knowledge of collection laws.
- Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills.
- Relevant training or certifications.
