Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Directly assist users by answering technical questions and accommodating concerns related to hardware and software systems.
2. Regularly monitor ticketing system and process tickets to resolve issues promptly.
3. Delegate tickets to co-department employees and/or other departments depending on appropriateness of tickets.
4. Ascertain line, network, and software characteristics desirable for the applications of company systems.
5. Research and identify hardware and software alternatives for handling present and future requirements.
6. Analyze and test alternative equipment and software configurations to provide better service to concerned employees.
7. Write system scripts to efficiently administer computer systems.
8. Proactively monitor software services to prevent issues that can affect the performances of other employees.

Qualifications:

1. Must be a graduate of Bachelor’s/College Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or equivalent practical experience.
2. Must have at least one (1) year working experience in the related field.
3. Must have good understanding of logic, computer organization and architecture, computer security and auditing, operating systems, databases, and network protocols.
4. Must be able to troubleshoot and repair computers and peripherals.
5. Must be familiar with Linux/Unix environment.
6. Must have experience in script writing or tool development in Bash, Python, Ruby, or Perl.
7. Must have strong knowledge in network design and structured cabling, database and web administration.
8. Must have a strong desire to learn new skills and adapt them to a rapidly changing industry.
