Job Description
About the client: The largest infrastructure construction company for communication and power companies, utilities, and governments throughout the United States.
A Project Specialist is expected to:
- Conduct a comprehensive 3-week training program to equip team members with essential skills for project success.
- Ability to determine potential risks while devising proactive ways to solve them.
- Plan how each process should be done, how resources are to be acquired, and when the project should be completed.
- Manage the progression of purchase orders (POs) from Project Control to facilitate the procurement process and closeout documentation in MDAT (Project Management Tool).
- Build rapport and create a team environment where all those with project responsibilities work well together.
What it takes to be part of our team:
- Must have experience in the Construction OR Telecom Industry.
- Norad and Oracle experience is a huge plus.
- Has project management skills and the ability to resolve complex problems and issues.
- Has a proven track record of completing work with a high level of quality.
- Able to work in a fast-paced high-volume work environment.
- Purchasing experience is preferred.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Telecommunications, Information Technology, Project Management, or Business Administration.
Project Management Skills: Proven experience in project management, including planning, execution, and closure of projects.
Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2) and Agile methodologies.
Telecommunications Knowledge: In-depth understanding of telecommunications technologies, networks, and infrastructure.
Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in telecommunications project management.
