Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Collections Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the collection process for outstanding medical bills, ensuring timely payment and resolving any payment discrepancies.
The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills and a solid understanding of medical billing and coding procedures. Experience in healthcare collections and knowledge of insurance claim processing is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow up on unpaid and denied medical claims
- Work closely with insurance companies to resolve payment issues
- Review patient accounts to verify accuracy and completeness
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and company policies
- Maintain detailed records of collection activities and progress
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and insurance providers
