Job Description
A Cash Application Analyst is responsible for accurately and efficiently recording and applying incoming payments to customer accounts. They will work closely with the finance team to ensure that all payments are properly documented and reconciled.
Key responsibilities:
- Review and process incoming cash, checks, and electronic payments
- Match payments to customer accounts and invoices
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to payments
- Prepare and distribute reports on cash applications and outstanding payments
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely posting of payments
- Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting activities
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cash application or accounts receivable
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Excel
