Job Description
A Blown Film Extruder Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the blown film extrusion machine. This machine is used to manufacture plastic films, such as polyethylene, through the extrusion process. The operator must ensure the smooth operation of the machine and monitor the quality of the output.
The duties of a Blown Film Extruder Operator include setting up the machine, adjusting the temperature and speed controls, and troubleshooting any technical issues that may arise. They are also responsible for inspecting the film for defects, such as air bubbles or inconsistencies in thickness, and making necessary adjustments to ensure the desired quality is achieved.
