Job Description
The position holder shall undertake the following functions:
- Perform job functions consistent with the corporate vision and mission statements and the core values of the company; ensure that subordinate employees perform their respective functions accordingly.
- Plan, organize, and control the operation and activities of the work unit; prepare and secure approval of the budget to support such operation and activities.
- Manage the Service Department to ensure customer needs are met and vehicles are fixed right the first time.
- Conduct ocular inspections of the Service Department’s operations, either directly or with intermediary level authorities.
- Conduct meetings with staff to discuss the operational needs of the department, adjust complaints, and/or grievances, and make proper recommendations if necessary.
- Receive customer complaints regarding the work done on their respective units and develop and maintain good public relations to ensure lasting customer relationships.
- Conduct vehicle servicing surveys within the industry to study and analyze data to determine competitive service rates.
- Perform marketing related activities, particularly in offering dealership services to companies, fleet accounts, and insurance companies.
- Monitor results of the Customer Viewpoint campaign and implement process strategies to continually improve customer satisfaction ratings.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities analogous, germane, or related to the above enumeration.
