Job Description
An IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing IT projects within an organization. They manage the successful completion of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project management best practices.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables, and develop project plans and schedules.
- Coordinate project resources, including team members, third-party contractors, and vendors.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and resolving issues or roadblocks.
- Manage project budgets and ensure proper allocation of resources.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and executive management.
- Ensure project documentation is complete, including project charters, requirements, and specifications.
- Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, including agenda preparation and meeting minutes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and work under pressure.
- Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) are a plus.
