Job Description
A Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for providing assistance and support to customers, ensuring their satisfaction with a company’s products or services. The primary role of a CSR is to address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
As a CSR at Optum, you will be responsible for answering customer calls, emails, and chats, providing accurate information, troubleshooting problems, and escalating complex issues to the appropriate department. Additionally, you may be required to handle customer complaints, process orders, and assist with product/service inquiries.
To excel in this role, you should have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. You must be patient, empathetic, and able to remain calm under pressure. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are also essential to quickly and efficiently resolve customer issues.
Moreover, strong attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary to effectively document customer interactions and maintain accurate records. Additionally, familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software and other relevant tools is commonly required.
