Job Description
A security guard/security officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for the people, assets, and property within their assigned area. They are expected to monitor surveillance equipment, patrol the premises, and take immediate action to prevent illegal activities or any potential threat.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting regular patrols and monitoring security cameras to identify and address security risks.
- Apprehending and removing trespassers or unauthorized individuals from the premises.
- Responding to alarms and distress calls promptly, investigating disturbances, and providing assistance as needed.
- Completing incident reports and maintaining a log of daily activities.
- Ensuring the safety of employees, guests, and visitors by implementing security protocols.
The ideal candidate for this position should possess excellent observation skills, physical fitness, and the ability to make quick and rational decisions in high-pressure situations. Good communication skills and proficiency in using security equipment are also essential.
