Job Description

Qualifications:

• BS Microbiology
• Preferably PAM certified.
• Must have at least 3 years of work experience in laboratory testing.
• Computer Literate – MS Office; Good/Average oral and written communication skills.
• Good team player and can collaborate with other teams.
• Can commute to Makati City.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Review and update SOP’s and product specifications, laboratory methods and work instructions, and good laboratory practices.
2. Perform routine testing for raw materials, in-process samples, environmental and water samples, and finished goods.
3. Isolate and identify pathogens & microbial contaminants.
4. Highlight non-conformance to the management in a timely manner.
5. Qualify each lot of produced culture media and test kits before using in any microbial analysis.
6. Maintain ATCC BSL I and II reference cultures and monitor the sterility of Biosafety Level I & Biosafety Level II Laboratory.
7. Monitor and replenish consumables inventory and raise through SAP to ensure availability of stock at all times.
8. Supervise calibration schedules of all equipment.
9. Conduct verification of all the microbiological methods used in the laboratory by conducting method verification experimental procedures and derive a conclusive action plan to complete new method implementation.
10. Perform experimental studies on different sample matrices to determine the correct diluent and dilution for a different type of food matrix (Sample preparation and pooling assessment).
11. Participate in P test as per the schedule and obtain analytical results within the satisfactory range of Z score.
12. Conduct pathogen environmental monitoring, equipment swabbing, and air sampling inside the production area.
