Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors.
Key responsibilities:
- Review and verify invoices and check requests
- Sort, code, and match invoices to appropriate documentation
- Enter invoices into the accounting system accurately and promptly
- Process vendor payments via check, ACH, or wire transfer
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies
- Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries regarding payment status
- Maintain and organize AP files and documentation
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Prior experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
