Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/ MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Creates detailed component solid models, drawing and layout using Solidworks (per ASME 14.5 Standard).

2. Creates fabrication/rework drawings.

3. Makes minor design modifications to fabricated parts drawings from redlined drawings or verbal instruction.

4. Inspects accuracy of ECO/BOM, design, solid models and 2D drawings.

5. Works with designers in creating corrective actions and CAD drafting.

6. Coordinates with doc control, planning, sales and design leads on design and BOM changes.

7. Participates in continual improvement meetings.

8. Performs basic engineering calculations as requested.

9. Other duties as assigned.

Education :

Technology School graduate or undergraduate of an Engineering discipline.

Experience :

Two years’ experience in drafting, development, design, documentation, support and troubleshooting of automated machines (i.e., concept to final product).

Skill/ Technical Requirements :

Proficiency in Solid Works is a must. Knowledge in other CAD software is an added advantage. Working knowledge of ASME 14.5 GD & T Standards, DIN Standards and Microsoft Office Software; Trigonometry level math skills. Ability to independently anticipate, prioritize and manage multiple priorities and to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
