Job Description
As an Ecommerce Distribution Center – Transport Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient and effective transportation operations within our distribution center. You will be responsible for coordinating and managing the transportation of goods to and from the center, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining an organized logistics process.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a team of drivers and coordinating their schedules for optimal resource allocation.
- Planning and implementing transportation strategies that align with company objectives and customer requirements.
- Monitoring the performance of transportation operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and efficiency targets.
- Collaborating with other departments, such as Inventory Management and Customer Service, to ensure seamless fulfillment of orders.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance transportation efficiency and reduce costs.
To be successful in this role, you should have proven experience in transportation management, preferably within an ecommerce or distribution center environment. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
