Job Description
A Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety of employees and the workplace by implementing and enforcing safety regulations. This includes conducting regular inspections, identifying potential hazards, and recommending and implementing safety measures to mitigate risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting safety inspections and risk assessments
- Developing and implementing safety policies and procedures
- Training employees on safety protocols and procedures
- Investigating accidents and incidents, and preparing reports
- Maintaining and updating safety records and documentation
- Conducting safety audits and ensuring compliance with regulations
The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of safety regulations and procedures, excellent attention to detail, and effective communication skills. A degree in occupational health and safety, or a related field, is preferred.
