Job Description

1. Greet guests as they arrive; ask if they have prior bookings; manage the registration process by verifying guests’ registration information room of choice, length of stay, and receive payments either in cash or credit cards or other legal forms of payment.

2. Provide guests with room keys; explain the appropriate use of keys; request for assistance from bellboys; ensure that guests are satisfied with the rooms assigned to them.

3. Answer queries regarding hotel information through telephone, emails, or SMS; process reservations; provide guests with information about, or directions around, the hotel.

4. Handle guest check-ins and check-outs appropriately; compute bills and take payments like acceptance of the correct Letter of Authority (LOA), processing of credit card and/or debit card payments; proper handling of Key Cards upon check-in and check-out ensure all dues are clear; balance cash at the end of the shift and generate accounting reports.

5. Manage accurate accounting of rooms; ensures availability of room inventory by coordinating with the Housekeeping and Maintenance Departments for proper cleaning and maintenance.

6. Monitor, maintain inventory, and order office supplies needed by the department; make photocopies; send and receive fax documents; receive and sort mail deliveries.

7. Prepares and submits the required Front Office Department Reports to the correct recipients of said reports.

8. Perform other tasks and special projects assigned by the Sales and Marketing Officer or by management from time to time.
