Job Description
As a Medical Claims Processor, you will be responsible for accurately processing and reviewing medical insurance claims. Your main goal will be to ensure timely reimbursement for healthcare services provided to our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze medical claims for accuracy and completeness
- Verify patient information, such as demographics, insurance coverage, and medical records
- Ensure compliance with insurance company policies and guidelines
- Communicate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve any claim discrepancies
- Process and submit claims electronically or via paper submission
- Follow up on outstanding claims and resolve any unpaid or denied claims
Requirements:
- Previous experience in medical claims processing or healthcare administration
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of medical terminologies, coding systems, and insurance billing procedures
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in using computer systems and software applications
