Job Description

1. Assists the Dean in preparing the laboratory development plan and prepares the required budget in consultation with the subject area teachers.

2. Assists the science faculty members by:

– Making available through either development or purchase the required instructional materials and laboratory materials.

– Undertaking the physical set-up and classroom structuring for laboratory classes.

– Assisting in the conduct of laboratory exercises; assisting the teacher in developing practical examinations.

– Ensuring safe usage of equipment and laboratory supplies and the physical safety of laboratory users during the laboratory.

3. Monitors the class in cases of short period absence of the regular science faculty member from the laboratory; acts as proctor during examinations.

4. Provides information on and implements rules and regulations on the proper use of the laboratory and the equipment and facilities therein.

5. Assists faculty members and students in the conduct of laboratory-based research projects.

6. Provides first aid treatment to students in cases of minor cuts, burns, etc. experienced in the course of laboratory work; assists in transporting students to the clinic in cases of more serious accidents.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Php12,259.17 per month

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

• 13th-month salary
• Overtime pay

Education:

• Bachelor’s (Preferred)

Experience:

• Custodian: 1 year (Preferred)
