Job Description
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team at Halcyon Marine Healthcare Systems Inc. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and ensuring timely payment to vendors and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and verify invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts
- Process and enter invoices into the accounting system
- Prepare and perform weekly check runs and electronic payments
- Monitor and reconcile vendor statements to ensure all payments are up to date
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding payment inquiries
- Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable files and records
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in accounts payable or general accounting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
