Job Description
As an A&R Manager, you will be responsible for scouting and selecting new artists and repertoire for our record label. You will play a crucial role in identifying talented musicians, overseeing the production of their music, and assisting in their career development.
Key responsibilities:
- Discover and sign talented artists by attending shows, networking, and reviewing demo submissions.
- Collaborate with artists and their teams to develop and produce high-quality music that aligns with our label’s vision.
- Work closely with our marketing and promotions teams to create effective strategies for promoting our artists and their music.
- Help manage the day-to-day activities of signed artists, including scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating releases.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging artists, and competitive labels to ensure our label maintains a competitive advantage.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the music industry, preferably in A&R or artist management.
- Strong knowledge of various music genres and a keen ear for identifying hit potential in songs.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build relationships with artists, managers, and industry professionals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using music industry software and tools, such as digital audio workstations and music analytics platforms.
