Job Description
An estimator is responsible for accurately estimating the cost and time required for a construction project. They evaluate project plans, specifications, and blueprints to determine the materials, labor, and equipment needed for the project. Estimators also analyze and research current market prices to provide accurate cost estimates. In this role, the estimator will collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction managers to develop comprehensive project estimates. They will also negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and quality materials. Additionally, the estimator will monitor and track project expenses and provide regular reports to management.
