Job Description
- Performs and computes routine laboratory tests on Soil and Aggregate Testing. These tests include Sieve analysis, Materials finer than No. 200 sieve, Abrasion, Soundness, Specific Gravity, Unit Weight, Organic Impurities, CBR, Compaction, Sand Equivalent, Atterberg Limit, Particle Size Analysis, Moisture Density Test, Abrasion, Unit Weight, CBR, Specific Gravity, and Absorption.
- Assist in Performing Field Density Test from time to time.
- Responsible for proper handling and storage of test samples and disposal of tested samples.
- Ensures that incoming samples are in good condition or comply with the standard specification as needed.
- Responsible for verification and monitoring, proper usage, and storage of all equipment and supplies needed for testing.
- Responsible for all test results done at the section.
- Responsible for orderliness, cleanliness, and securing the soil-aggregate area.
- Performs all duties of Officer of the Week whenever designated.
- Performs all other tasks and functions that may be assigned.
- Evaluate and check the accuracy of the final test results.
- Identify risks and/or report risks to the highest-ranking technician in the department. May also conduct risk assessment under the supervision of the highest-ranking personnel in the department.
- Compute and submit the test result to the Supervisor, then to the Plant Manager for checking.
