Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Coder to join our team. As a Clinical Coder, you will be responsible for analyzing medical records and assigning appropriate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and treatments. Your primary goal will be to ensure accurate and efficient coding to support effective patient care, billing, and reimbursement processes.
The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of medical coding standards and guidelines, such as ICD-10-CM and CPT. You should also be familiar with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills are crucial in this role, as you will be working with complex medical information.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze medical records and assign appropriate codes
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in coding
- Adhere to coding guidelines and regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation
- Review claims denials and assist with appeals
- Maintain knowledge of changes in coding practices and standards
Qualifications:
- Certification in Medical Coding (e.g., CPC, CCS)
- Experience as a Clinical Coder
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding systems
- Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
