Job Description
Competency Requirement:
· The foreman must be at least a high school graduate who has at least ten(10) years of experience as a foreman in civil works.
· He should display leadership ability.
His duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
· Leads the skilled and unskilled labor force.
· Receives orders from Project Officers regarding the technique to be employed in the execution of a work item and leads the labor force in the implementation.
· The foreman, being an authority in proximate contact with the labor force, is also responsible for implementing company rules and regulations, especially in terms of discipline, work ethics, and safety rules and regulations.
· It is the duty of the foreman to be fair to all employees and not favor a particular employee.
· He has to report any immediate problems, whether related to the implementation of the project or among the people working under him, to management.
· He has to prepare for the next day by getting orders from the Field Engineer before the day ends. He should also request the necessary materials or equipment at least a day before they are needed, to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted flow of work.
· He is the last person to leave a work site and must ensure that everything is cleaned up and nothing is left behind that could be stolen during the night.
