Job Description
- Manages the operations of the Merchandising Department
- Handles merchandise planning and forecasting
- Take the lead in product material sourcing, pricing, visual merchandising plans and sees to it that products reflect customer preferences and drive sales.
- Conducts margin analysis and industry research and performance measurement to determine product demands, viability, positioning and profitability.
- Develop assortment plans that support over-all strategy for key merchandise categories and classification, items and vendors/consignors.
- Build strategic relationships with Suppliers and create plans to meet sales needs based on emerging merchandise trends and business opportunities.
- Develop new trends and impactful promotions and aligns image campaigns for all departments in collaboration with the marketing department.
- Monitors performance of teams to drive results against standard metrics in sales, margins, inventory turn-over.
