Job Description
A Purchasing Officer is responsible for overseeing the procurement process within Majent Group of Companies. They are in charge of sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating various goods and services required for the organization’s operations.
The main responsibilities of a Purchasing Officer include:
- Identifying potential suppliers and conducting market research to compare prices, quality, and delivery times.
- Negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
- Collaborating with other departments to determine their purchasing needs and ensuring timely procurement.
- Monitoring inventory levels and managing stock replenishment to avoid shortages or excessive stockpiling.
- Assessing supplier performance and addressing any issues or discrepancies that may arise.
To be successful in this role, a Purchasing Officer should have excellent negotiation skills, strong analytical abilities, and a good understanding of supply chain management.
