Job Description
A merchandiser is responsible for planning and managing the purchase and sale of products in a retail setting. They work closely with suppliers, internal teams, and customers to ensure the right products are available at the right time and in the right quantities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and implement merchandise plans based on market trends and customer demand.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of products.
- Analyze sales data and customer feedback to make informed decisions on product assortment.
- Coordinate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Work closely with marketing and sales teams to ensure effective product promotion and pricing strategies.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in merchandising or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
