Job Description
1. Receives RFQ (request for quotation) from sales either in layout, drawing, or actual product sample.
2. Produces mechanical layout of the item and endorses it to the plant manager for costing.
3. Receives RFS (request for sample) from sales and makes PDP (product development plan).
4. Coordinates the plan with purchasing (material/service), production (schedule for sample fabrication), and QC (quality planning and actual verification of sample vs. requirements).
5. Monitors the sample fabrication activities and ensures that necessary documents and records are available and satisfy the requirements before endorsing the sample to sales.
6. Receives product approval from customers/sales and makes PDR (product development report).
7. Distributes a copy of PDP to concerned areas: Production (process requirements and control), warehouse (material details and space requirements including FG), QC (quality requirements), and purchasing (supplier accreditation). The sourcing of material during the development stage.
