Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Coder to join our team as a Team Lead. In this position, you will be responsible for leading a team of Medical Coders and ensuring accurate and timely coding of medical procedures and diagnoses.
Key responsibilities:
- Supervise and provide guidance to the team of Medical Coders.
- Review medical records and assign appropriate codes for procedures and diagnoses.
- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve coding issues.
- Conduct training sessions to enhance the coding skills of the team.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of five years of experience as a Medical Coder and possess strong leadership skills. Proficiency in medical coding systems such as ICD-10 and CPT is required. Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification is preferred.
