Job Description
A Medical Billing Specialist is responsible for managing and processing medical claims and invoices in a healthcare setting. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and a strong understanding of medical billing procedures and coding.
The main responsibilities of a Medical Billing Specialist include reviewing patient records, verifying insurance coverage, and accurately coding and submitting claims to insurance providers. They also track claim statuses, follow up on unpaid claims, and identify and resolve any billing errors or discrepancies.
