Job Description
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the company’s outgoing payments. Your main tasks will include processing invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments, and maintaining detailed records.
To excel in this role, you should have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. Your problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills will also play a crucial role in resolving payment discrepancies and building relationships with vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing invoices and matching them with purchase orders and delivery receipts
- Performing reconciliations of accounts payable transactions
- Reviewing and verifying the accuracy of vendor invoices
- Resolving payment discrepancies and disputes with vendors
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions
- Assisting with month-end closing activities and financial reporting
To be considered for this position, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field. Prior experience in accounts payable, proficiency in accounting software, and strong knowledge of relevant regulations and policies are highly desirable.
