Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to Singapore QS Team overseeing projects from inception through to completion, and ensuring that work is completed on time and within budget.
- Prepare cost reports, cost plans, and pre-tender cost estimates during the design and tender stage.
- Review and prepare costing for requests of variation orders; assess the associated variation costs, monthly financial reports; process progress payments and final accounts.
- Work closely with the Project Team to provide cost and financial advice as and when required.
Requirements:
- Recognized degree in Quantity Surveying (preferred) or Building related degree (e.g., Civil Engineering) with relevant working experience in QS service in the Construction industry.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in a cost consultancy/contracts management environment. Work experience in Singapore is preferred.
- Strong technical background and skills in quantities measurement.
- Good working knowledge of forms/conditions of contract.
- Good working knowledge of standard forms of measurement, CEMS, SMM, or equivalent.
- Proficient in QS application and BIM measurement software (e.g., Cubicost).
- Membership with SISV, RICS or/and AIQS is preferred.
- Able to work independently and be a good team player as well.
- Possess excellent people skills with the ability to integrate within a multi-disciplinary team and communicate with external consultants and clients.
