Job Description
The Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and reimbursements. Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and verifying invoices for accuracy and proper authorization.
- Matching invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents.
- Entering invoices into the accounting system and scheduling payments.
- Reconciling vendor statements and resolving any discrepancies.
- Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Responding to vendor inquiries and resolving payment issues.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all transactions.
The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential for liaising with vendors and various internal departments.
