Job Description
Note: This is an office-based position in Davao City. No remote work or site visits.
- Fresh graduates and non-licensed who are willing to learn are welcome to apply.
- Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is typically preferred. Relevant experience or additional certifications in estimating can also be considered.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge in construction estimating software and tools (e.g., PlanSwift, Spreadsheets) to accurately assess project quantities.
- Quantitative and Analytical Abilities: Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail are essential for precise and reliable estimations.
- Communication Skills: Listens attentively, follows instruction, and communicates challenges clearly for process improvement.
- Time Management and Organization: Meeting deadlines and managing multiple jobs simultaneously requires strong organizational and time management skills.
- Team Player: A quantity surveyor often collaborates with various professionals within the team, so being a team player is crucial for successful output.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Estimators should be able to address unexpected challenges and adjust quantity estimates accordingly.
- Continuous Learning: Willingness to stay updated on industry trends, software advancements, and construction practices is beneficial.
