Job Description
A Global Sourcing Specialist is responsible for identifying and establishing relationships with suppliers from around the world. They play a crucial role in ensuring a company’s supply chain is efficient and cost-effective.
Key responsibilities include:
- Researching potential suppliers and evaluating their capabilities, quality, and overall performance
- Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to obtain the best pricing and favorable payment terms
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify sourcing needs and develop sourcing strategies
- Managing relationships with existing suppliers and continuously seeking opportunities to improve supplier performance
- Monitoring market trends and industry developments to identify potential risks or opportunities for cost savings
The ideal candidate for this position should have excellent analytical skills, strong negotiation abilities, and a deep understanding of global supply chain dynamics. They should also possess effective communication and relationship-building skills to establish and maintain strong supplier partnerships.
