Job Description
The IT System Administrator Supervisor is responsible for planning, directing, organizing, and scheduling system analysis functions for projects and/or assigned staff. They provide leadership in the development of system and security standards and set the direction and policy for institutional projects involving technology strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the good performance of IT personnel.
- Handle escalated issues and provide advice.
- Investigate and implement new technology and solutions to improve or optimize business operations.
- Ensure a disaster recovery plan and strategy are in place for all critical systems.
- Audit and ensure best practices from an IT Security perspective.
- Act as the point person for contact and relationship with IT vendors.
- Oversee the performance and strategies for tasks of the rest of the department.
- Regularly report to the Chief Technology Officer on major issues and the general performance of the department.
- Design an infrastructure and configuration management strategy.
- Utilize software and hardware tools to identify and diagnose complex problems and factors affecting network performance and take corrective measures.
- Enforce corporate information security policies and standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
