Job Description
A Claims Examiner is responsible for reviewing, processing, and investigating insurance claims. They work closely with policyholders, medical professionals, and legal experts to ensure claims are accurately assessed and settled.
Key responsibilities include:
- Evaluating claim applications and supporting documents
- Verifying policy coverage and determining claim validity
- Investigating claims by gathering necessary information and conducting interviews
- Collaborating with insurance agents, adjusters, and legal counsel
- Assessing damages and determining appropriate compensation
- Negotiating settlements and issuing payments
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Adhering to industry regulations and company policies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business, or related field
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
