Job Description
A Cyber Incident Response Analyst is responsible for detecting, investigating, and responding to cyber threats within an organization’s network. They analyze and document security incidents, develop strategies to mitigate risks, and apply countermeasures to prevent future attacks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze network traffic for potential cyber threats
- Identify and investigate security incidents and breaches
- Assess the impact and severity of security incidents
- Develop and implement incident response plans
- Coordinate with various internal teams to ensure effective incident response
- Conduct forensic analysis of security incidents
- Recommend security enhancements to prevent future incidents
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Strong knowledge of network security principles and protocols
- Experience in incident response and handling security incidents
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
