Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and payment transactions.
Your main responsibilities will include verifying the accuracy of invoices and expense reports, coding and posting transactions to the general ledger, reconciling vendor statements, and resolving any payment discrepancies. You will also be responsible for handling vendor inquiries and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
To excel in this role, you must have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel are also required.
- Process invoices, expense reports, and payment transactions accurately and in a timely manner
- Verify and reconcile invoices, resolve any payment discrepancies
- Code and post transactions to the general ledger
- Handle vendor inquiries and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
