Job Description

Reports To: Quantity / Cost Estimator Team Leader

Position Summary:

The Quantity/ Cost Estimator provides estimates of construction material quantities and generates project cost estimates based on industry standard unit rates and costs.

Key Activities:

• Collate the provided quantity takeoffs for the project from across all design disciplines and perform additional quantity takeoff calculations and checks as needed;
• Gather material and construction work unit rates, overhead costs, and profit rates and perform detailed project cost estimates using these together with the arrived material quantity takeoffs;
• Provide cost estimate reports and attend clarification meetings with the project team as well as the client;
• Confer with the project team, contractors, and subcontractors on changes on adjustments to quantity and cost estimates;
• Conduct a review of existing information on material and labor requirements, clarifies project priorities, and escalates issues that cannot be resolved within one’s level;
• Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation as required for the duration of the project; and
• Support project quality control by initiating cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.

Qualifications / Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in preparing project quantity and cost estimates.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.

Job Type: Contract

Contract Length: 12 months

Salary: Php30,00.00 – Php40,00.00 per month

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift
• Monday to Friday

• Quantity Survey: 5 years (Required)
