Job Description
Are you meticulous and detail-oriented? Do you have a passion for accuracy and organization? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Coder to join our team.
As a Medical Coder, your primary responsibility will be to review and analyze medical records to assign appropriate codes for billing and insurance purposes. You will ensure that medical procedures and diagnoses are accurately documented, following all coding guidelines and regulations.
To be successful in this role, you must have a thorough understanding of medical terminology, coding systems (such as ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS), and reimbursement methodologies. Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills are essential.
Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing medical records and assigning appropriate codes
- Ensuring accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines and regulations
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to clarify documentation
- Monitoring coding trends and implementing updates as needed
