Job Description
A Supply Chain Manager (Logistics) is responsible for overseeing the movement of goods and materials from suppliers to customers. They ensure smooth operations of the supply chain by managing logistics, warehousing, transportation, and inventory control.
The main responsibilities of a Supply Chain Manager (Logistics) include:
- Developing and implementing supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs
- Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Working closely with internal teams, such as procurement and production, to streamline processes and improve coordination
- Managing transportation activities, including routing, scheduling, and tracking
- Overseeing warehouse operations, including inventory management and order fulfillment
- Managing and developing a team of logistics personnel
Qualified candidates for this position should have a bachelor’s degree in logistics or a related field, along with several years of experience in supply chain management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure.
