Job Description
At least college graduate with experience in Construction industry is a plus and with 5 years experience as Purchasing Head.
1. Forecasts levels of demand for services and products to meet business needs and keeps a constant check on stock availability.
2. Conducts research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules, and quality.
3. Liaises between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments, and customers.
4. Identifies potential suppliers, visits existing suppliers, and builds and maintains good relationships with them.
5. Negotiates and agrees on contracts, monitors their progress, and checks the quality of service provided.
6. Processes payments and invoices.
7. Develops the organization’s purchasing strategy.
8. Produces reports and statistics using computer software.
9. Ensures suppliers are aware of business objectives.
10. Formulates and initiates guidelines and procedures to systematize operations.
11. Extensive experience in purchasing and dealing with local and international suppliers is essential.
