Job Description
- Acts as the highest-ranking employee in the marketing department
- Assists in interviewing, hiring, and training key marketing staff members
- Researches and analyzes market trends, competitor offerings, demographics
- Provides direction to marketing managers based on research findings
- Identifies areas for improvement in product offerings and marketing strategy
- Approves all marketing campaigns and plans
- Weighs in on important decisions involving product advertising and branding
- Maintains the department’s budget and ensures cost-effective marketing
- Collaborates with company officers to establish budgets and objectives
- Monitors marketing and sales performance and adjusts strategies
- Adheres to and implements all company policies and procedures
