Job Description
1. Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions, and current health plans to develop and implement dietary-care plans and provide nutritional counseling.
2. Consult with physicians and health care personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of the patient.
3. Advise patients and their families on nutritional principles, diet modifications, and food selection and preparation.
4. Counsel individuals and groups on basic rules of good nutrition, healthy eating habits, and nutrition monitoring.
Monitor food service operations to ensure conformance to nutritional, safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
- A Bachelor’s/College Degree in Dietetics from an accredited Dietetics School
- Registered Dietitian with a license from the Professional Regulation Commission
- Special training in direct nursing care such as Basic Life Support, Advance Cardiac Life Support, and Intravenous Therapy Training
- Continuing Professional Education (CPE) attendance
- Minimum of 1 year experience in direct nursing care
- Member in good standing with an accredited Professional Organization of Dietitian
- Excellent communication, reading comprehension, logistic reasoning, and analytical skills
- Familiarity with the Patient’s Bill of Rights and Philippine Laws
