Job Description
1. Primary
- 1.1. Supervise purchasing staff specific to trucking and parts trading and ensure that process is in place and implemented
- 1.2. Discover profitable suppliers and initiate procurement partnerships
- 1.3. Measure and manage the overall supplier performance and relationships
- 1.4. Negotiate with external suppliers to secure advantageous terms
- 1.5. Track and report key functional procurement metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- 1.6. Study the current market through data analysis and prepare control strategies
- 1.7. Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
- 1.8. Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
- 1.9. Lead and participate systems procedure and process improvements to maximize resources
- 1.10. Collaborate with key persons in and out of the organization to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
2. General
- 2.1. Provide updates and accomplishments to management on a regular basis
- 2.2. Evaluate and manage the performance of direct reports
- 2.3. Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time
