Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of BS Medical Technology
- Passed the Medical Laboratory Licensure Examination
- Trained in Manual Operations for Drug Testing
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares specimen for analysis.
- Examines, processes, and analyzes specimen for drug testing and alcohol testing.
- Interprets, records, releases, and signs out laboratory results.
- Assists in the implementation of quality assurance program.
- Assists in the evaluation of reagents, supplies, and equipment.
- Refers to the Chief Medical Technologist / Laboratory Coordinator as the need arises.
- Sends specimen positive for certain drug metabolites to an accredited confirmatory drug test laboratory.
- Trains and supervises Authorized Specimen Collector.
- Updates drug testing logbooks regularly.
- Validates drug test kits timely.
- Submits results to the Drug Testing Management Information System.
