Job Description
The Application Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support for various applications, system-level software, compilers, and general computing applications. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting application and software issues, and assessing software specifications.
Related Work Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years of experience, preferably in the Telco industry.
Knowledge:
Proficient in Unix/Linux shell scripting, basic PHP programming, MySQL/Postgres/Mongo queries, and Linux Services (Apache/Nginx/PHP/Perl/Database).
Familiarity with network and system security, monitoring tools (Nagios/Cacti), and the ability to troubleshoot system and network issues in Linux/Unix.
