Job Description
- Plan, deploy, upgrade, migrate, and troubleshoot DB2 system
- Ensure proper configuration and tuning of database system
- Ensure successful backup and disaster recovery processes for database system
- Perform restores as needed
- Configure automated database deployment
- Interface with the development team to aid in design and development tasks
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- with at least 3+ years’ administering IBM DB2 on Unix/Linux operating systems
- Proficient in IBM AIX , Unix and Power environment
- Fluent in DB2 programming language
- Proficient in database design and development
- Experience in performance tuning and optimization
- Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy
