What you’ll be doing:

The Head of Procurement for the APMA (Asia & TMEA) region is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing all procurement activities within these territories. This role involves managing a team of 15 professionals who handle both direct and indirect purchasing. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s procurement strategy, ensuring compliance, and driving efficiency and sustainability.

Key responsibilities:
Job Description / Key Accountabilities
1.Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management:
oCollaborate with stakeholders to document specifications and define sourcing strategies for key Indirect projects.
oDrive RM strategy and cost negotiations to bring the optimal benefits to own site manufacturing
oManage team in analysis of RFP (Request for Proposal) output and negotiate commercial terms.
oRisk and Supplier Relationship management
oDrive strategic internal decisions supporting Make vs Buy strategies in the markets where production occurs
2.Team Leadership and Management:
oProvide oversight and administrative leadership to associates in all markets
oDevelop team skills through a range of training and coaching – support provided by the central Procurement COE.
oDevelop team skills to increase strategic thinking, financial acumen and negotiation tactics
3.Budgeting and Financial Planning:
oStrong budget management skills on direct and indirect categories including PPV management
oManage team C&B and OH budgets including travel

Experience & Skills Required
Work Experience
10 years’ experience in relevant industry or position
A relevant degree such as Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Business
Preferred certifications include APICS, CIPS, or EIPM.
Skills & Competencies
Strong stakeholder management skills
Strong understanding of accounting and management principles
Experience with supplier sourcing and selection.
Proficiency in negotiation and contracting.
Knowledge of contractual frameworks.
Familiarity with procurement tools ERP and S2P tools.
Scope & Team
Manages a team of 15 Procurement professionals
Must be prepared to travel across markets under leadership
